We just received a $300 donation from the Blog Pac on the Daily Kos bringing our donation total to $525. We have given our lawyer the $250 down payment and will give the rest to him before the end of October.
We have a new court date: November 2nd. If we do have to take this thing to trial, we will still need an additional $225. We will continue taking donations until we have all that may be needed. In the event we do not have to pay the additional $250, we will donate the extra money to the Veterans for Peace Chapter 099's Afghan Orphanage Fund.
